Catering Supervisor

SSA Group at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is hiring a Catering Supervisor in Columbia, SC. You will lead our catering team through the setup, service, and breakdown of events at the Zoo, keep every event on time and on standard, and make sure every guest and client leaves with a memorable experience. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

• You are a sharp problem solver who resolves guest and client concerns quickly and professionally.

• You bring catering, banquet, or food service leadership experience and a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

• You can stand for extended periods, lift and move up to 35 lbs, and work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

What You Will Do Each Day:

• Lead Catering Associates through event setup, service, breakdown, and cleanup.

• Assign duties, coach team members, and keep event timelines on track.

• Oversee food presentation, product quality, levels, and inventory.

• Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients and resolve guest needs quickly.

• Coordinate the placement, movement, and storage of rentals and catering equipment.

• Train new team members and uphold SSA EXTRA Guest Service and company standards.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
