Position Summary
Rooftop Chimney Sweeps is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and organized Warehouse Assistant to join our Alexandria team.
This is a hands-on position responsible for keeping our warehouse clean and organized, monitoring inventory levels, receiving deliveries, and preparing materials and equipment for upcoming jobs.
You'll work closely with our Delivery Manager and Procurement Manager to help ensure our field technicians have the materials, tools, and equipment they need to complete their work efficiently.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, follows directions, and can complete assigned tasks without constant supervision.
Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required. We're willing to train the right person!
What You'll Be Doing
Warehouse Organization & Cleanliness
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of unnecessary clutter.
Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are stored in their designated locations.
Organize shelving and storage areas so materials are easy to locate and retrieve.
Sweep, vacuum, and maintain warehouse floors and work areas.
Keep dumpsters, trash areas, and the vacuum station clean and organized.
Maintain clean and accessible walkways, work areas, and storage locations.
Inventory & Material Receiving
Monitor general stock quantities and notify the Delivery Manager when materials are running low.
Assist with counting and organizing warehouse inventory.
Receive incoming deliveries and check materials for missing, incorrect, or damaged items.
Put away incoming materials in their designated storage locations.
Communicate inventory shortages and material concerns to the appropriate manager.
Job Preparation & Technician Support
Assist the Procurement Manager with receiving and organizing materials purchased for specific jobs.
Prepare and stage materials and equipment for upcoming jobs according to instructions provided by management.
Notify the Procurement Manager when job-specific materials are missing, incorrect, or damaged.
Assist field technicians with locating and retrieving materials, tools, and equipment.
Return unused materials and equipment to their proper storage locations.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of idle company vehicles as assigned.
Identify and report damaged or missing tools and equipment.
Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned by management.

Preferred but Not Required:
Previous warehouse, stocking, receiving, or material handling experience.
Familiarity with basic hand tools and construction materials.
Experience using a pallet jack or similar warehouse equipment.
Basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This is an active, hands-on position in a warehouse environment.
Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse.
Regularly lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Move heavier materials using appropriate equipment or team assistance.
Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, dust, and construction materials.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow established safety procedures.
