Delivery Manager – Construction & Home Services Operations

Rooftop Chimney Sweeps

Compensation: 75,000–125,000 annually

Employment Type: Full-Time | Leadership Position

We're Looking for a Leader Who Takes Ownership.

At Rooftop Chimney Sweeps, we don't just complete chimney repairs. We protect homes, solve complex problems, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Established in 1978, Rooftop Chimney Sweeps has built its reputation on quality workmanship, professionalism, and doing the job right.

We're looking for an experienced Delivery Manager who can lead our field operations, develop a high-performing team, and take ownership of the results.

This isn't a position for someone who simply wants to supervise a crew or manage a schedule. We're looking for a leader who understands that successful operations require the right combination of people, production, profitability, safety, and quality.

If you're the type of person who sees a problem and takes responsibility for solving it, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As our Delivery Manager, you'll oversee the daily execution and overall performance of our repair operations. You'll lead technicians and support personnel, remove operational obstacles, and ensure our customers receive the quality of service they were promised.

Lead and Develop Your Team

  • Lead, coach, and hold field employees accountable for performance, professionalism, and results.

  • Establish clear expectations and develop a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

  • Address performance issues directly and fairly.

  • Partner with our Field Trainer to identify skill gaps, coordinate employee development, and improve technical performance.

  • Help build a team capable of growing with the business.

Drive Production and Operational Performance

  • Oversee the daily execution of scheduled repair projects.

  • Ensure crews have the staffing, materials, equipment, and information needed to succeed.

  • Monitor job progress, productivity, scheduling efficiency, and completed revenue.

  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions before they become larger problems.

  • Coordinate effectively with Sales, Scheduling, Procurement, and other departments.

Own Financial Performance

  • Take accountability for completed revenue, gross profit margin, and operational efficiency.

  • Understand and manage labor costs, overtime, job profitability, and avoidable expenses.

  • Analyze performance metrics and make informed decisions that improve results.

  • Reduce wasted trips, rework, and other preventable costs.

  • Balance profitability with quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Maintain High Standards for Safety and Quality

  • Enforce company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Ensure repairs are completed correctly, professionally, and according to company standards.

  • Identify and address quality concerns before they become customer problems.

  • Investigate callbacks, warranty issues, and recurring workmanship deficiencies.

  • Work closely with the Field Trainer to strengthen technical execution and prevent repeat failures.

Improve the Operation

  • Maintain high standards for fleet readiness, warehouse organization, tools, and equipment.

  • Use ServiceTitan and operational scorecards to monitor performance.

  • Identify recurring problems, implement corrective actions, and measure improvement.

  • Communicate challenges, opportunities, and results to company leadership.

What We're Looking For

We need a proven leader who knows how to get results through people.

Our ideal candidate brings:

  • Experience leading field operations in construction, home services, or a related trade.

  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, employee development, and performance accountability.

  • A solid understanding of gross profit, labor efficiency, job costing, and operational financial performance.

  • The ability to manage multiple projects, crews, and competing priorities.

  • A strong commitment to jobsite safety, workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Confidence making decisions, addressing difficult situations, and holding people accountable.

  • Comfort using operational software, reporting tools, and performance metrics.

  • A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Experience in chimney repair, masonry, or venting systems is highly valuable. Candidates from other construction and skilled-trade service businesses should also bring the technical understanding needed to evaluate workmanship, recognize safety risks, and lead field operations effectively.

Experience with ServiceTitan is a plus.

What Makes Someone Successful Here?

The best Delivery Manager isn't necessarily the person who knows how to perform every repair better than everyone else.

It's the person who knows how to build a team that consistently delivers excellent results.

You understand that:

  • People matter. Strong teams are built through clear expectations, coaching, and accountability.

  • Numbers matter. Revenue, gross profit, labor efficiency, and productivity are measurements of operational performance.

  • Quality matters. A job isn't successful if we have to go back and fix it.

  • Safety matters. No production goal is worth putting an employee or customer at risk.

  • Ownership matters. When something goes wrong, you don't look for someone to blame. You look for a solution and make sure it doesn't happen again.

Compensation

75,000–125,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and the compensation structure established for the position.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical part of an established home service business and make a measurable impact on its performance and growth.
