About this role
Intrepid Motorcar Company is hiring an Experienced Technician for vintage European sports and race cars in Sparks, NV, paying 25 to 40 an hour. You bring hands on experience with older vehicles' running points and carburetors, and handle engine, drivetrain, suspension, brake and electrical work.
Who You Are:
You take pride in restoration work that rebuilds components and preserves original parts and finishes.
You solve tough issues alone or with the team, and stay steady when track event schedules shift.
You communicate clearly with advisors and clients about what a car needs.
You bring engine, transmission, suspension, braking and electrical systems knowledge, mechanical and electronic.
You bring a valid driver license, clean record, and experience with shop tools, diagnostic equipment and technical documentation.
You bring motorsports, track support or tuning experience, or ASE certification or equivalent training, as a plus.
Who We Are:
Intrepid Motorcar Company restores, repairs and supports European sports and racing cars, from full restorations to race prep.
You learn from a master engine builder and a body and paint specialist, and move away from flat rate book hours to own a vehicle's care.
What You Will Do Each Day:
Diagnose, inspect and troubleshoot engine, drivetrain, suspension, braking and electrical systems on classic and high performance vehicles.
Carry out restorations and upgrades, and prepare vehicles for track events with pre and post checks.
Keep service records, communicate with advisors and management, and help keep the shop organized.
